LOA PROFILE

Dr. Danilo V. Ayap and Mr. Alonso Borda, both well-experienced and highly competent who shared the same passion or education and technology, founded Lyceum of Alabang in October 2003. Its original name was the National College of Science and Technology or NCST, in Km 88 GNT Center, Putatan, Muntinlupa City. The founding of the college was almost perfect vision, and it was coupled with the abiding faith of the founders in the decisive role o education and technology in raising the quality of life off the people.

Founded as the premier institution of the south, the Lyceum of Alabang is a non-profit organization dedicated to identifying, preserving, and promoting public awareness of Science and Technology. Bustling to be globally competitive in education, the Lyceum of Alabang became a part of the development of an educational institution in academic, sports, cultural, and social responsibility not only to the students but also to the entire community of Muntinlupa City.

At this point, employees’ support was shown in the very first term of its operation, when 50 students enrolled after only 400 had been anticipated. The board immediately had to increase the teaching force. Two full years of CHED and TESDA programs were offered, including BSBA, BSIT, BSCS, BSHRM, HRS, ACT, ECT, and ComSec.

The assiduousness o the Board of Trustees during the hectic days of establishing the school was manifested through several board meetings that were held in the first year of operation; needless to say, were the untiring marketing activities o the institution. The dynamic board members unselfishly sacrificed their time for the institution.

Another board meeting was held, and this time, it struck Dr. Danilo V. Ayap with an idean to amend its SEC Registration regarding ownership of the institution. Thus, from being a private enterprise, it became a family-owned corporation in April 2004, with Dr. Danilo V. Ayap as the President and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Ms. Norma M. Ayap as the Vice President of Basic Education, Ms. Hazelgrace M. Ayap as Vice President for Finance and Comptroller, Mr. Fritzgerard M. Ayap as the Vice President for Planning and Development, and Ms. Faith M. Ayap – Aquino as the Vice President for Administration.

Today’s program is incomparable to that 2003 since, at present, an almost one-hectare of land area with a new wing building is being built; furthermore, there is an ongoing construction of facilities to meet the constant growth o the school. Over the past year, the school has also been extended and as such, it is now considered the only assessment center accredited by TESDA in the City of Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Taguig, Pateros (MUNTIPARLAS-TAPAT District).

The new building o the Lyceum of Alabang since its transfer in April 2012 is now located at Km 30 Tunasan, Muntinlupa City. The school presently boasts of its outdoor swimming pool adjoining its recreational ground and the covered court making the Lyceum of Alabang one of the finest schools, from all standpoints in the entire City of Muntinlupa.

Recently, Lyceum of Alabang became Muntinlupa’s first educational institution to be certified as ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

The National Quality Assurance (NQA, Philippines) a certifying body, announced the first Quality Management System Audit from May 16-22, 2017. In the two stages of the audit, NQA Philippines reviewed the Lyceum of Alabang policies, processes, procedures, and quality practices following the school’s drive toward continuous improvement.

The Lyceum of Alabang continuously moves forward with plans for accreditation level status and to develop new programs that are marketable and feasible. It is the goal of the institution to provide quality, efficient, and effective service in the commitment to the practice of a sound quality management system and to the promotion of managing risk, business quality assurance, innovation, and enhanced value for stakeholders.
