BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CRIMINOLOGY
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
Three to five years after graduation, the BS in Criminology alumni shall:
-
- have career progression in their field of specialization;
- demonstrate globally competitive skills and Lycean values; and
- engage in community and/or national development.
Program Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)
At the completion of the BS in Criminology program, the students are expected to:

- Conduct criminological research on crimes, crime causation, deviant behavior, victims, and offenders utilizing appropriate methodologies and theoretical frameworks.
- Internalize and uphold human rights and promote victim welfare in all facets of criminal justice practice.
- Demonstrate broad knowledge and professional competence in law enforcement administration, public safety, and criminal justice practice.
- Utilize the principles and techniques of criminalistics and forensic science in the detection, investigation, and resolution of crimes.
- Apply the principles of criminal law, rules on evidence, and criminal procedure in the performance of duties within the justice system.
- Ensure the welfare, rehabilitation, and reintegration of offenders into the community by implementing restorative justice and correctional programs.
