ABOUT LYCEUM

Lyceum of Alabang, founded in 2003 by Dr. Danilo V. Ayap and Mr. Alonso Borda, began as the National College of Science and Technology in Muntinlupa City. Since then, it has grown into a leading higher education institution in the south, offering CHED- and TESDA-accredited programs and serving as the only TESDA assessment center in the MUNTIPARLAS-TAPAT district. Now located in Tunasan, Muntinlupa, the institution continues to expand its facilities and programs while upholding its ISO 9001:2015 certification and a strong commitment to quality education, innovation, and community service.

SHINE: Scientific and Humanistic Innovations through Novel Explorations is a research conference that brings together diverse disciplines—from STEM to the social sciences, humanities, and the arts. It highlights both scientific inquiry and humanistic understanding, encouraging collaboration and reflection on research’s impact on society.

The conference centers on Innovations, whether in technology, education, culture, behavior, or policy, and values Novel Explorations—original, rigorous, and forward-thinking studies. SHINE celebrates scholarly excellence, fosters academic dialogue, and inspires researchers to develop ideas that address real-world challenges.

COMMUNITY AND EXTENSION PROGRAM

The Community Service Unit of Lyceum of Alabang leads the university’s efforts in volunteerism, civic engagement, and social responsibility. Guided by the mission of producing competent and socially responsible graduates, CSU creates opportunities for meaningful outreach, sustainable partnerships, and nation-building initiatives.

Aligned with Republic Act 9418 (Volunteerism Act of 2007), CHED, and DepEd directives, CSU integrates service and extension programs into the academic and co-curricular life of Lyceans. Its projects also support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on community empowerment, environmental sustainability, and capacity-building.

Through volunteer work, leadership training, and development programs, CSU equips students to extend learning beyond the classroom and become compassionate, responsible citizens who contribute to a resilient and progressive society.
